What is Hibernation mode:
Hibernation Mode gives you the advantages of having your PC startup and shutdown faster. It does this by saving you current Windows session to the hard disk of your computer, so it can be restored when you turn your PC back on. It can help you you can preserve your batteries without taking time to close all your files and shut down, and then restart and open all your files when you’re ready to work again.
How You Setup your PC to Use Hibernation Mode:
Before you can take advantage of Hibernation mode you must first make sure that Hibernation is enabled. To do so do the following:
How Do I Put My PC In Hibernation Mode:
There are two ways you can put your PC in to Hibernation mode:
1. Automatically:
You must be logged on to your computer with an owner account in order to
complete this procedure.
a. Open Power Options in Control Panel. (Click Start, click
Control Panel, and then double-click Power Options.).
b. Select the amount of time you want your computer to wait
after X amount of time of not being used. from the drop down menu next to
System hibernate.
2. Manually
You must be logged on as an administrator or a member of either the Administrators or Power Users group in order to complete this procedure. If your computer is connected to a network, network policy settings might also prevent you from completing this procedure.
